What interested you in pursuing construction management as a career?
I chose construction management because it brings together everything I’m passionate about: being outdoors, solving problems, and contributing to the transformation of an idea into a finished, tangible product. I enjoy the dynamic nature of the work, the collaboration it requires, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing a project through from concept to completion.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of my work, collaborating with others to develop solutions that keep a project on track and within budget while still achieving the intended outcome. Finding creative ways to meet goals under constraints is extremely satisfying.
Best CM fun fact or tip?
The best tip I can give is: Do the prep work upfront to limit future issues. When challenges arise, take a step back to see the big picture, make sure you’re addressing the root cause, not just the symptoms. Above all, prioritize communication and collaboration; they are key to sustainable success.
