Marketing Design Manager

Gehrtz Construction Services (GCS) and Zerr Berg Architects (ZBA) are seeking a creative and strategic Marketing Design Manager to lead our visual communications and brand presence. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the visual identity of both firms across all marketing channels—from proposals and presentations to digital media and print collateral. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for design excellence, brand consistency, and storytelling. Success in this role requires strong leadership, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall graphic design and visual communication strategy and execution for all marketing materials, including proposals, print and digital collateral, social media content, and trade show/conference materials.
  • Design and produce visually compelling, brand-aligned proposals that effectively communicate project narratives and win work.
  • Develop and maintain branded templates and layouts.
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of social media content across platforms.
  • Create graphics to support tradeshow and conference booth setups.
  • Own and enforce brand identity and standards, ensuring consistency across all company materials.
  • Support the proposal development process and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate and timely marketing data.
  • Prepare interview and presentation materials in collaboration with project teams.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Coordinate special marketing projects and community outreach initiatives.
  • Manage and organize project image libraries and marketing databases.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives through various support tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, visual arts, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced graphic design capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical content.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

Technical Proficiency

  • Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
  • Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Airtable.
  • Experience with Bluebeam.
