Senior Construction Manager

Ben enjoys working on projects that challenge him to come up with new solutions because those are where he learns the most. He enjoyed working on Phase I of the new high school in Moorhead in 2023 and the remodels of S.G. Reinertsen and Ellen Hopkins in the summer of 2017 because of the fast pace and hard deadlines. He recently completed the 8^th & Main (Block E) project in Moorhead, solving the unique challenges of the site; a small site, on a busy street, and the shape of the building. He graduated from MSUM in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and has been working for Gehrtz Construction since.

As a die-hard UND hockey fan, Ben spends winters going to games at his favorite building, the Ralph Engelstad Arena. In the summer he plays softball and spends time at the lake with friends and family.
