The Dilworth Fire Station in Dilworth, Minnesota, is a modern public safety facility designed to support the operational needs of the city’s fire department while providing expanded training and support spaces for emergency personnel. The new 18,000-square-foot station replaces the existing facility on the same site and reflects the city’s commitment to strengthening emergency response capabilities for its growing community and surrounding service areas.
The facility includes four full-size drive-through apparatus bays with eight garage doors, allowing efficient vehicle circulation and rapid response. The apparatus bay features a fully epoxied floor with full-length trench drains to support durability, maintenance, and operational readiness. A three-story training tower provides both interior and exterior platforms for live hose and ladder training, while an additional mezzanine level offers space for indoor training activities and storage. These features create a comprehensive environment for hands-on training and skill development.
Supporting the operational needs of the department, the station also includes modern staff amenities such as offices, locker rooms, decontamination areas, bath and shower facilities, a fitness room, and a full-service kitchen with shared living space. A large conference room provides space for in-class training, departmental meetings, and citywide collaboration. Designed to serve a department of approximately 30 on-call personnel, the facility strengthens Dilworth’s emergency response infrastructure while supporting broader community safety across the city and surrounding areas of Clay County and the Fargo–Moorhead region.
