Broadway Storefront Restoration - Fargo, ND
<
Gallery

This project is located in the historic overlay district and renaissance zone.  Zerr Berg Architects worked with the City of Fargo’s Historic Preservation Commission in order to qualify this project for community development block grant (CDBG) funding.

The project includes the restoration of the exterior facades of four historic buildings on Broadway in downtown Fargo.  Each of the four buildings were constructed prior to 1925 and were modified several times over the decades.  The project consists of removing the old storefront materials, uncovering historic masonry, stripping the paint from existing stone and brick, stone repair, tuckpointing, window replacement, and storefront framing replacement.  The design of the new storefront framing system incorporates the styles of the original buildings as determined from historic photographs while maintaining the existing tenant spaces in operation throughout.
